From The New York Times to Newsweek and National Geographic Television to CBS Evening News, Andrea has spent the past 18 years helping scientists; researchers and executives tell their stories.

Andrea’s experience spans patient engagement, advocacy, public relations, media relations, developing and delivering communication skills training and continuous coaching, social and digital media, and writing for print, web and multi-media platforms. Throughout her career she has been responsible for creating, implementing and measuring successful engagement strategies and programs that are at the forefront of communication trends and deliver maximum return on investment. She has garnered this experience working in patient advocacy, global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, non-profit and academic organizations in the US, UK and around the world in locations as diverse as Shanghai and Surrey.

Andrea is the Executive Director of the Patient Empowerment Network (PEN). Prior to joining PEN, Andrea was the head of US consulting for pharmaphorum connect. Before pharmaphorum, Andrea was Head of External R&D Communications at AstraZeneca. This role marked the culmination of nearly 10 years in global communications at AstraZeneca in the US and UK. Prior to that Andrea held corporate communication roles of increasing responsibility at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.
