You’re Invited! We hope you’ll join us for our next Empowered #patientchat as we review 2018 and look ahead to next year with special guest, Kimberly Hartmann (@fireflyrn84).
Kim is a Registered Nurse turned full time patient living with dysautonomia (autonomic nervous system dysfunction), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and numerous other chronic illnesses. Pushing through adversity left her needing an outlet. How was she supposed to find a way to cope and still let the nurse live on? She turned to patient advocacy and started blogging as well at AutonomicRN.com. That became her identity; why not take on your disease straight on. Currently she is the Medical, Clinical Liaison Coordinator and a Co-Leader on the Advocacy Team for Dysautonomia Support Network. Kim is also a Savvy Cooperative Pioneer Member as well as Savvybassador, a Patient leader and expert for WEGO Health, and has served on the Patientslikeme Team Of Advisors.
The chronic illness community has become a support system for her. Who better to understand the landscape of healthcare and just ‘getting it’ than those who are involved in it?
