You’re Invited! We hope you’ll join us for our next Empowered #patientchat discussion on health care technology.
Patients who have access to health care technology have the ability to access their patient portal to view their health records, communicate with their care team, etc. But what about patients who don’t have access to the internet or face another barrier?
“To ensure that we engage the patient groups who have much to gain from the more flexible health care interactions that digital innovation can provide, we must consider issues of computer literacy, access, and trust.” – Carol J. Peden, MD, MPH & Leslie A. Saxon, MD
Guiding our discussion will be the following Topic (T#:) Questions:
T1: How has technology contributed to patients being engaged in their health care? #patientchat
T2: Would you (or do you) use technology to help manage your health? Why or why not? #patientchat
T3: What are the challenges or barriers to patients accessing health care technology? #patientchat
T4: What approaches do you think can improve patient access to technology? #patientchat
