Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an audience of oncologists, urologists, radiologists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in the United States.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to support the multidisciplinary team of clinicians and foster patient-centric care for people with advanced prostate cancer (aPC) through clinical information and strategies for enhancing provider-patient communications.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Impact of testosterone monitoring in patients with aPC being treated with androgen deprivation therapy
    • Maintenance of quality of life in patients with aPC
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Tailoring treatment decisions in aPC based on the patient’s health
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Alter the treatment plan based on patient preferences
