Susan Liberatore
Individual Giving Director
Serving as a patient advocate at a Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas in the 90’s, Susan Liberatore fell into fundraising and development unexpectedly. This led to a career in nonprofit fundraising and strategic planning for the last 25 years. She moved from Texas to Nashville in 1998 and took her first official role as a Development Director with Vanderbilt Children’s Medical Center. She moved on to work for other organizations and ultimately started her own nonprofit consulting practice. This allowed her the opportunity to work with many diverse organizations.
Recently making the decision to step back from consulting, Susan has joined the PEN team bringing her many years of experience to create a dynamic fundraising experience. She has been the caregiver to family members through their journeys with cancer and hopes her advocacy and nonprofit experience will be an asset to her new role. Susan has served on boards of directors and also created a caregiver support ministry at her church.
Susan moved with her husband from Dallas, TX to Nashville, TN in 1998. She and her husband have two grown daughters and enjoy spending time with family and traveling.
