New Health Networks

PEN Launches Networks for DLBCL and Colon Cancer Patients

August 10, 2021

Patient Empowerment Network is happy to announce the launch of two new health networks: Colon Cancer and Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). Building on PEN’s current offerings, these networks will help to empower and educate the Colon Cancer and DLBCL communities.

Colon cancer is sometimes called colorectal cancer, which is a term that combines colon cancer and rectal cancer. Colon cancer and rectal cancer are often grouped together because they have many features in common. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive type of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL), which is one of the most common cancers in the United States. NHL accounts for about 4% of all cancers.

Finding reliable information and resources during your cancer journey can make all the difference and we are so thrilled to add two new networks to serve colon and DLBCL patients, care partners, and families“, says PEN’s Executive Director, Andrea Conners.

Each network is launching off with The Pro-Active Patient Toolkit, a program designed to provide actionable advice and downloadable resources to help you communicate clearly and effectively with your healthcare team.
