Tracy Rode

Chief Executive Officer

Tracy Rode joins the Patient Empowerment Network (PEN) as Executive Director. Tracy brings over two decades of non-profit leadership experience, including working with diverse patient populations to improve patient outcomes and increase access to care.

Her own thyroid cancer diagnosis led Tracy to shift professionally from internet consulting to cancer and chronic disease advocacy. She has held executive positions at the Healing NET Foundation, the Lupus Foundation of America, Mid-South Chapter, PearlPoint Cancer Support, and Vital Options International. Tracy has a proven record of successfully leading teams and driving organizational growth — experience she looks forward to bringing to PEN.

Long active in the community, Tracy has served in board leadership roles for a variety of charitable organizations encompassing arts, education, survivorship and healthcare. She is married to Ed Rode, a photographer and media professor, and has two children, Edward (24) and Maddy (21), and a house full of furry friends, plants and musical instruments.
